Yes, thank-you so much for sharing these heart-warming thoughts and beautiful pictures. Yes, Mrs. Hurdle, this is a tragedy for both families, but there is an outstanding difference. My family and friends will never be able to hear or see my Shelby again. My heart yearns for all of those tenders moments with my baby. Also I would like to add: My family and I appreciate all the precious memories that our North Davidson community has displayed this pass week. From the warm gathering at Shelby's memorial service planned by her friends, the beautiful cards, notes, pictures, food, flowers, words, prayers, and everyone who helped me prepare for Shelby's funeral has been a God-Sent for my family. It means so very much to my family. I know Shelby is in Heaven smiling down upon us and, is as proud of her North Davidson community as I am. I would like to share the last verse in a poem Shelby wrote at school. "So shine on my sunshine, radio play something good to my ears, bring me your strength, God, So I have no more tears or fears." My Shelby's faith in Christ gives me comfort. Thank-you all. My family and I give praise to God for your love and support. xxoo's, Shelby Montgomery Lee Chisom's Mom

No words will ease your pain, but know that you are not alone and we will always be by your side and Shelby will live in our hearts forever. The entire community loves your family and we want you to lean on us, we are here for you!

Today is Sunday, August 15, 2010. I am so lost and sad. I am sitting in my living room looking at my baby's pictures, admiring all the beautiful flowers, inspiring notes, and meaningful cards that have been sent to my home. I feel like it is a bad dream. This once was a place full of happiness and laughter. Shelby was my life. Her sister, dad, and myself have so many wonderful and dear memories that have taken place in our North Davidson community.
I would just like to say: "My family and I truly appreciate the community's loving support." I know Shelby loves heaven as much as she loved her family, friends, and community.
I would like to close with a verse in a poem Shelby wrote at NDSH. "So shine on my sunshine, radio play something good to my ears, bring me your strength, God, so I have no more tears or fears."
