North’s magical season with a national and state title continues bear fruit. Robyn Stanek announced today that she intends to play softball for Mars Hill when her career ends at North Davidson. Stanek will be joining teammate Shaundee Woosley who will play for Mars Hill next season.
The rising senior has made a significant impact both offensively and defensively for the champion Lady Knights. Stanek who is a real natural at third base is the only infielder that will return from this year’s team.
Expectations will be high next year and much of leadership duties will fall on Stanek to set the tone for the team and encourage the younger players to give their all on each and every play. Coach Lambros commented, “This is the one I wanted to see!” Lambros was excited because with all the accolades being given to Lady Knights he might be easy t overlook some really great talent, and Stanek is as good as they come.
