It was over early…18-6 after 1 quarter, 30-8 at the half, 47-16 after 3…you get the picture.
The North Middle School Knights crushed the Central Davidson Cadets 60-20 tonight in Southmont. Quin Cunningham and Brandon Easter led the way with 12 points each, Josh Roberson chipped in 9, and Nick Wimmer scored 5 points off the bench as the Knights played a smothering pressure defense, with steal after steal and basket after basket. The Cadets struggled all night to get the ball past halfcourt, and turned it over early and often.
11 different players scored, and Coach Everhart made liberal use of his bench. The Knights are now 3-0 in conference play, 6-1 overall. They next play at home on Thursday against Ledford after the girls game at 4:30.
MAD Notes: The pressure defense was on today – Quin Cunningham and Marcus Lindsay wer particularly impressive with their quick hands resulting in several steals…the passing game was working well too…Nick Wimmer did some nice work underneath, coming in off the bench to get some valuable “PT”…
